  Abstract

This research aims to identify the correlation of screen time and battery quality to an online worker and learners’ overall productivity. Since the start of the pandemic, the online set-up has become an alternative for learning and working for the spread of the virus to be avoided. The researchers delve into this study to find out whether there is a correlation among the three variables that were utilized. With their provided hypothesis, it is to be observed which of the hypotheses presented resulted to be evident enough to prove the claims and results of the study.

The coverage of this study focused on attaining qualified participants who are online learners from Senior High School to College and online workers that can commit to the whole process of the research study. It was also put into consideration that the majority of the participants use cellular phones, tablets, and laptops for their online activity, may it be for school or work purposes. Upon the process of creating the survey questionnaires for the initial and final survey for data gathering, it was prioritized that the questions provided would answer the number of screen time and battery quality of each participant consume and comprise.

In the synopsis of the results and discussion, the researchers found that the study does indeed support the theory of Ivan Pavlov as it appears that the learning environment of online learners has a significant effect on both their productivity and screen time. In conclusion, the researchers agree to accept their null hypothesis as all results indicate, that indeed, online workers and learners remain constant with their productivity, then the variables of having more screen time and longer battery life will not affect their productive behavior. As both of the variables that were looked into as the correlation towards affecting the participant’s productivity, there is no significant correlation between the two variables. To further increase the significance of the study, the researchers made recommendations to have further analysis of the correlation between battery life to screen time and productivity by providing more set-ups that can be used for collating data. For such, asking proof of the statistical data of their gadgets, as well as adding analysis of the presented variables. Lastly, gathering more respondents to make the study more reliable and accurate.
